'Copycat' Kitty: X Factor star is accused of trying to steal the life of Britain's Got Talent Britney impersonator

Britney rivals: Kitty Brucknell, left, has been accused by Lorna Bliss, right, of trying to steal her friends and her work

She may come across as eccentric and unique on the X Factor but it seems that Kitty Brucknell may not be so original after all.

The former reality show hopeful has been accused of stealing somebody else's life - down to every last detail.

Lorna Bliss, 33, who has been dubbed the Britain's Got Talent equivalent of Kitty, said the singer tried to take her friends, her work and even wrecked her relationship with her boyfriend.

The girls have known each other for several years since they began working as Britney Spears tribute acts.

They first met in 2007 after which Kitty suggested via the social networking site, MySpace, that they become friends.

Lorna told the Daily Star that she thought the request strange and ignored it, but their paths soon crossed again whilst filming a pilot show for Simon Cowell’s TV firm about Britney lookalikes.

Lorna, a Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist, said: 'She started bombarding me with questions about my life. It was a bit full-on.'

Due to their line of work, the two bumped into each other again at auditions for a pop tribute act show entitled The One And Only.

Accused: X Factor hopeful Kitty is alleged to have stolen work from rival Lorna and campaigned against her

But Lorna claims Kitty was less friendly on that occasion and reportedly burst into tears, telling her rival to leave, and claiming she was more in need of the work.

And she says the former X-Factor contestant criticised her performance to the judges on the show.

In the end neither of them got past the audition stage.

However, Kitty didn't leave it there and continued contacting her rival, according to Lorna.

'I was busy preparing for a Britney gig,' said Lorna. 'Kitty begged me to tell her where it was so she could come along. It was a bit weird because she wasn’t my friend.'

Lorna claims that from then on Kitty started stealing her work as a Britney impersonator and became too involved in her personal and professional life.

This included Kitty allegedly contacting her friends on MySpace, trying to befriend them and starting a campaign against her,

Lorna said: 'I can’t prove it was her but there were things like: "Lorna can’t sing" and "Lorna’s act is rubbish." It seemed random.'

The campaign against her didn't stop there, as Lorna says she suspects Kitty also contributed to her breaking up with her boyfriend Danny Lopez.

Lorna moved to the U.S. in 2009 where she met the Johnny Depp lookalike, and although she thought she'd finally seen the back of Kitty, it seemed Kitty hadn't forgotten Lorna.

Lorna said: 'We’d been going out for a few months when Danny suddenly told me Kitty had been sending him messages via MySpace telling him to dump me.

All an act? Kitty Brucknell was known for her quirky performances on X Factor but, claims Lorna: 'It's all copycat with her'

'It put a lot of strain on Danny and I. We kept having rows. He started saying horrible things about my work.

'Whenever I called him to try and sort things out, he’d taunt me saying Kitty was on Skype chatting to him.'

The lookalike star then began recalling Kitty's comments to his girlfriend before eventually dumping her.

'I truly believe Kitty helped stir up trouble and caused the break-up' she added.

Lorna, however, concedes that she doesn't believe her ex ever dated Kitty following their split.

The women came head-to-head this year when they both made it on to national television with Lorna getting through to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent while Kitty made it to the live shows of X Factor.

But Lorna stands by the statement that nothing with Kitty is original: 'It’s all copycat with her. Two years ago I went on Living TV’s Dating In The Dark and then she goes on ITV’s Dinner Date.

'I do Britain’s Got Talent so she does X Factor.'

'This girl basically harassed me for four years and destroyed me. I’m speaking now because I want people to know what she is like and to set the record straight.

'I hope Kitty regrets what she’s done. But I doubt she will.'

Responding to the story on her Twitter page today, Brucknell referred to Bliss's allegations as 'rubbish'.

She wrote: 'If you believe that you'll believe anything...'

When another follower suggest Bliss was 'bitter' because of Brucknell's recent success, Kitty replied: 'Lol, you don't know the half of it ha ha. Just the usual Star rubbish I hear.'

Unimpressed: Brucknell replied to tweets about Bliss' allegations on her Twitter page today
